Bloomburg: Beltway Earnings Make U.S. Capital Richer Than Silicon Valley
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-10-19/beltway-earnings-make-u-s-capital-richer-than-silicon-valley.html

Federal employees whose compensation averages more than $126,000 and the nation’s greatest concentration of lawyers helped Washington edge out San Jose as the wealthiest U.S. metropolitan area, government data show.

Hey 99% protesters you are protesting in both Baltimore and NY City. When are you going to start protesting in DC? Perhaps, you could start with a march down K Street.

(sound of crickets chirping...)

I might have gone out for that, but I was down there for the DC vote. We had at least three cooperating demonstrations last Friday, as well as the Occupiers in their tents.

My husband is working with two different Occupy DC locations. It's alive and well!

What's he doing? (I have the urge to contribute, but my limousine liberal bourgeoisie lifestyle can be restrictive.)

Like TheManWithAUsername, I'd appreciate some suggestions about how to support them.

The medium is the message: Writing publicly that we support them is supporting them. I think I'll write another brief support note on our local listserv.

I think there are many ways. My husband is working with DC Ethical Society to bring them healthy food. They are apparently getting a lot of pizza and pasta and feeling down and kind of sick (literally) for the lack of fresh food. I think they really need whole foods (not the store, but vegetables, grains, fruit, etc.). I think mostly they want to feel supported. They have highs and lows and sometimes feel like they are really isolated.

As I don't want to put my husband's email on here, I private messaged you both.

What, is panty sniffer back with his hygiene phobia again? I was hoping that he was receiving treatment for that.
