Just found 2 boxes of Girl Scout Thin Mints cookies in my cupboard. Forgot they were there. I think I bought them last winter?? Or whenever the most recent GS sale was. Do they go bad or are they like twinkies? LOVE thin mints ... it would be so sad to see them go to waste....
What's the expiration date say? If the smell ok and where still in a sealed wrapping then I'd try them. We usually stick ours in the freezer when we buy them.

smell look around enjoy! |
There's probably an expiration date somewhere. If they are unopened and not past the expiration date I'm sure they're fine.
I don't understand the concept of forgetting that Girl Scout cookies are in my house...

Next time hide them in the freezer! They are so good frozen!
I would think they are more on the Twinkie end of the spectrum...take a bite and if it tastes OK, then snack on my friend! If not, toss and don't forget about them next time.
|
They could potentially go a little rancid, but a taste would tell you that and not hurt you at all.
If they are unopened, for sure.
I'd eat them under all but the most extreme circumstance (like you see bugs on them or an end of the box was chewed by a rodent).
DO NOT OPEN. Freecycle them immediately.
there's so much sugar in those they can't go bad
I'll try them for you.
I'll buy them from you. I can't wait until Feb.
