DC Government Employees having Sex in Reeves Center

Okay, all you DC Government Employee haters, this one's for you. Two DC employees apparently engaged in an affair within the Reeves Building and a car in the parking garage of the Reeves Building. Then, they used their government-owned computers and phones to send emails and text messages about it. Then, someone leaked those to the City Paper's Loose Lips. Now, you can read them here:

Biggest DC government hater here. For some reason while this is wrong I'm not too worked up about it. The rot is at the top and I blame all Vincent Gray voters for thinking small not big and long term. But as to this particular story, it happens all the time. I just want my taxes lowered if I'm gonna get this service.

The affair took place before Gray took office. It was on Fenty's watch.

So that is why you posted it, Mr. Steele. Anything to reduce your buyer's remorse on Gray.

On a more serious note, this likely happens at every workplace--public, private, charity, whatever--so it is hard to get too worked up about it, and it is enjoyable primarily for its titillating value. Which is substantial. Truthfully, if more government employees spent their time having sex with one another, it would probably be for the best. They'd cause less trouble for the rest of us that way.

Sure, happens everywhere. Except that in the private sector, they aren't doing it on my tax dollar.

This same thing happened in the basement of my big NGO at my last job. The employees, one of whom was pretty senior, were fired. The people I feel sorry for are the Somali parking attendants who apparently found them in flagrante. Yes, it does happen everywhere.
