A Montgomery County teacher ... who taught first grade at Greencastle Elementary School ... is accused of assaulting half of the children in her class of 16 students. “All of the victims described being choked by the suspect,” detectives wrote in the arrest records. “Some of the students, in addition to being choked, stated they were kicked, punched, scratched or had their arms squeezed tightly ....”

It will be intersting to hear more. There is absolutely no evidence beyond the statements of very young children. No injuries/bruises. There was a case years ago where a large number of preschoolers described abuse at a daycare which was in the end found to be untrue. This story brought that to mind..terrible for all involved. |

Having a preschooler and a first grader I can tell you there is a huge difference between the statements they give. Some of the kids were 7!
Back in the news because she is finally going to court. I wonder if she is still on "administrative leave." |
I know someone whose child was allegedly choked by the teacher. His kid is still traumatized...and has to testify. |
I thought she was fired. |
I feel sorry for school teachers in this country. It's such a litigious nation and lacks common sense in its real meaning. |
