Cain's killing fence

Herman Cain wants an electrified fence and guards “with real guns and real bullets” to kill illegal immigrants. His response to the suggestion that he is insensitive:

“It’s insensitive for them to be killing our citizens, killing our border agents,” he said. “That’s what’s insensitive. And that mess has to stop.”

Is there a rash of murders by illegal immigrants?
