The past few years I've noticed a popup up Halloween costume store appearing someplace. But, this year I haven't seen any. Does anybody know where any good costume stores are in northwest DC or Bethesda?

There's one over in the industrial area where Silver Stars is in Silver Spring - it's pretty well marked as you make that turn.

If this is the one I am thinking about, I went there a few years ago and it has mostly adult costumes. But, the costumes were high quality. Thanks for all the other suggestions.

the one with the sign warning you not to take pictures?

What's that about?

And how in the hell do they survive? (pun intended)

I know you said DC or Bethesda but if you are willing to drive to Tysons there is a HUGE pop up one on Rt 7. It used to be in the mall but now it is in a huge space near the Container store. They have the largest collection I have seen yet ranging from newborn to adult.

There's Costumes Creative (or something like that)at one end of Brookville Road... It's the more high quality place... BUT Party Warehouse- toward the other end of Brookville Road has a selection of costumes as well, more the kind (quality) you may be thinking of... (that may have been the place the PP was thinking of)
