I happened to be behind you this morning on 39th st NW and noticed you blow through 2 stop signs. Just remember that families with kids and pets live in that neighborhood and we wouldn't want you or someone else to get hurt or have damage to your vehicle.
Have a great weekend. |
| Thanks so much. I'll be sure not to do it again. I clearly did not have my priorities straight and needed you to post this to remind me. Thanks again. It's people like you that make the world a better place. |

| Isn't there Sidwell immunity just like diplomatic immunity? |
|
I'm so glad I can't even afford to walk on the grounds of Sidwell.
After reading these threads, I'm so turned off. |

OP, I would encourage you to send an email to the school to report what you have seen. You may not be the first to have noticed this driver. Also, it might have been a nanny or au pair, in which case the parents would definitely want to know.
|
Oh. My. God. And the school would do WHAT exactly? It's a driver. On a public road. You are whacked out of your mind! |
Actually the schools work hard to try to encourage good driver behavior. Usually as part of zoning approvals schools need to have traffic management plans. Unhappy neighbors can have a real impact on school projects (not that Sidwell has an inch of undeveloped land above or below ground left on the campus). |
| The school just had a meeting on this. There are two options being discussed. The first would require all students to have a full time professional driver. This means no nanny, au pier, parent or student drivers. There is concern about the cost, but some how DC has come up with Stimulus Funds to cover this. I think the driver would have to be a DC resident to qualify. Option 2, all students would be required to bike to school. The students will form up in pelotons(large packs of riders) and stay on the main road( so not to tie up secondary roads. Very green and helps fight obesity. |

Are we really supposed to believe that someone who drives an Explorer can afford to send their kid to Sidwell?
Nice try OP, but, you are clearly a troll who is careless about details. |
nanny's car... |
If you don't know who this is then you're not part of the Sidwell community. I could post the license plate number but that would be crossing the line on my part. |
| Do it! |
| Maybe this person has a drug problem? |
