It's back. I have no idea what happened. I was going to accuse you have being on drugs because the thread should be right at the top of the list. Then, I couldn't find it myself. I checked the database and the thread and all of its messages were there. It just wasn't showing up. I did some database jujitsu and now it has returned to life.

From the other "Republicans flocking to C[wmv]ain thread..."

Man you do sound a tad unhinged about this one. This is DCUM. You walked right into the trap. OP doesn't want to discuss the issue.

Maybe the OP would post a reply to the discussion if the thread didn't randomly disappear / reappear and randomly drop postings...

Cain can challenge Obama by forcing him to speak without a teleprompter.

Obama can challenge Cain by giving Cain an open mike and letting him speak his mind.

thats what Cain always does. It's Obama who doesn't appear to have the intellect to remember what he's supposed to say.

I know it's fun to caricature these guys, but can't we act like adults and admit they are two bright guys with very different temperaments: One is careful and does not want to take a chance that an off-the-cuff remark might have dangerous repercussions, and the other figures that his base likes a "straight-talker" and is in a position where he can get away with claiming that his dumber remarks were jokes.

Perry beats Obama but Obama beats both Romney and Cain? Is Rasmussen on mushrooms, or did they take the poll at a tea party?

Washington Post: Cain rises in Post-ABC poll despite scandal; most Republicans dismiss allegations
http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/cain-rises-in-post-abc-poll-despite-scandal-most-republicans-dismiss-allegations/2011/11/04/gIQApcgSlM_story.html

Businessman Herman Cain and former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney are running nearly even atop the field of 2012 GOP presidential hopefuls, a new Washington Post-ABC News poll shows, with most Republicans dismissing the harassment allegations that over the past week have roiled Cain’s campaign.

Oh, come on Politico, stop with the drip-drip-drip stuff and produce the BJ stained dress, murder weapon, bloody knife, etc. On second thought don't, this is too entertaining.

I am sure Cain will finally be derailed once it is revealed that he has an illegitimate child with one of his female staffers or that he has been sending out photos of his wiener from Facebook.

Original "Racist Republicans flocking to Cain" poster here.

Well, it was fun while it lasted but I am finally getting off of the Cain train. I am glad that I listened to that little voice in my gut saying don't send any money to his campaign. Too many misteps, too many lame and weak responses to the increasingly concrete allegations and too little credibility in general regarding foreign affairs, etc. Republicans need someone better than this.

To paraphrase Rummy, you go into elections with the candidates you have, not the candidates you want. As a liberal, I have to say that I feel for you guys. Your primary is one giant SNL skit.

I still think Huntsman is a very credible candidate, solidly conservative, but not a fundamentalist nutjob. And his response to Colbert's "Say something in Chinese" was inspired. (You should consider running as my VP.)

Is it totally crazy to think they might shock us and make the sensible choice?
