This is the tricky point she will have to contend with. Does she remain in South Africa and force a separation and divorce at the risk of not seeing her kids regularly? She is unfortunately in the same position hundreds of thousands of people in the world are in: making yourself happy or being there for your kids. Not everybody is able to have both.

This is different - most people the world over can have a full separation while living in a new home, new neighborhood, and moving on with their lives. I heard Charlene was already living separately from Albert in France. Of course that wasn't enough for the Monasque nobility. She's either in or out in their view.

She chose out. She has no rights to custody for children who are heirs to the throne no matter what she does anyway.

+1. She’s royalty. She could’ve driven north across the continent and jumped on a private yacht if she really wanted to get home over the last 6 months and never gain altitude.

Funny you mention a yacht. If you believe this bogus story about the ENT infection grounding her for months then a yacht from Cape Town to the port of Monaco would be a perfect solution.

10 days of sailing and back home. And guess who owns a super-yacht which he has sailed himself?
