Yes, but he’s also dumb. He treated it with whiskey the first week and then didn’t want to take the antibiotics for his pneumonia and used tiger balm instead.

The antibiotics wouldn't have done anything. Coronavirus is a virus. Antibiotics don't treat viruses.

Viral pneumonia can turn into bacterial pneumonia and require antibiotics. We don’t know why the doctor determines he needed them, but he did.

Could people just stop traveling? That’s what is causing all of this spread and ultimately all of this death.

They all came from the same cruise and were tested yesterday after CDC notified of potential exposure.

Plausible: they were on the prior sailing of the Grand Princess

Why would CDC just tell them now, weeks later, about potential exposure?

The CDC has completely screwed up.

It’s already here. The people who have it have already been to grocery stores, pharmacies, etc

People don’t always have a choice. My brother has to fly tomorrow to appear in court.

We essentially live in a third world s%hole that doesn't believe in science and thinks we will be too dumb to notice when we all start dropping like flies. Compare with S Korea. The days of the USA being a world leader are long gone.

Relax people! stop feeding the hysteria!

Ok, you do you. Some of us love old people.

what? ^^^that^^^ is the dumbest response truly. how does my post translate to me not loving old people. you fool

Because people going around interacting and touching things spreads the virus that thus old people can get from their caregivers. How dense are you. It is like the people who don't get the flu shot because it "Isn't that bad" but when you get the flu you spread the flu. The flu shot isn't about YOU not getting the flu it is about you not SPREADING the flu. Also it isn't just old people. It is people with asthma, diabetes, people receiving cancer treatments or your friend Nancy who is on Humira for her RA. The shortsightedness and selfishness of people never ceases to amaze me.

From what I’ve read, asthma is not a risk factor for severe disease with Covid-19. Have you read otherwise? https://www.eaaci.org/resources-list/resources/4691-coronavirusallergy.html

I'm not understanding how they became potential exposures so late. Wouldn't everyone on the first trip of that ship have potential exposure?

I totally agree. WTF is wrong with our country. We should have been out in front of this. Frankly, the whole nation should be in quarantine right now to have any chance at slowing this down. Feels like the government isn’t taking this seriously at all.

That's not a thing. You sound silly when you babble like that.

Your dedication to science is commendable. Please report back tomorrow afternoon when you are able.

I hope the DCUM hive can identify where they live, approximately.

And where they work.

And what hospital they visited to be tested.

And which airport they used. And where they went grocery shopping after arriving home.

I was just thinking about this too and was hoping they tell us but here is a second thought.
1. They did come here from the airport.
2. They did go shopping.
3. They did go to the hospital to be tested.

And God only knows where else did they go. So all the people that were in contact with them went home to their kids, went to work, went shopping.. and carried it with them. So in theory it can be everywhere even if they tell us where they shopped it does not mean you could not come in contact with third generation contact. So eventually .. no difference.

At least, the airport is an easy one. Either Dulles or BWI, most likely, Dulles.
I'm flying out of Dulles Monday morning. Lucky me!
