That's ridiculous. Millions of people all over the world found her to be very attractive. That indicates that the perception problem might be...you.
Obviously attractiveness is subjective and many people will disagree on who is attractive but the premise of this topic is really flawed. To say some hot celebs are not really attractive is dumb, the only truth in that is that some hot celebs are not attractive to you. How is that noteworthy?
NP. Millions of people are mesmerized by royalty. Strip away the title and posh accent, and I doubt those millions would be clamoring for Di to be on magazine covers. If you saw her working as a cashier at your local Dollar Store, she wouldn’t merit a second glance.
I think Princess Diana’s style is out of style now. It’s like looking at photos of women from 100 or more years ago who were the beauties of their time and often I just can’t see what their appeal was. Like in the 1920s, the bee-stung lip look is so odd to our current fashion for fuller lips. Her hair looks severe and too done and a lot of her clothes look dowdy. Her facial features are not what is “in” right now—I think her nose is bigger than something would think is attractive now, for instance.
I think the other thing that’s lost is that what made her appealing was her youth and charisma. A similar person is Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, considered a great beauty in her day but now I’ve seen people say that she was odd-looking with her eyes too far apart and other flaws. I think both were unusual and new for the time periods they lived in, were photogenic and had personal charisma which was appealing to people at that particular time, but often that appeal isn’t the same later. For instance, I think Jacqueline’s baby voice sounds very strange today.
