NP here. Not that familiar, apparently. Have you worked in anything healthcare or social work related in the Austin area of chicago? I have, and I can assure you the vast majority of the residents do indeed use medicaid and other social services.

They could come from working class families. Why is everything so one-sided on this board. I highly doubt their parents are doctors or lawyers but that doesn't automatically mean they are on welfare. Please look up working poor and working class.

I'm going to go our on a limb here, but if their parents had any real presence in their lives how in the hell was this group able to torture this young man for such a long period of time? I grew up in a poor working class family and my parents knew where I was, what I was doing and who I was associating with because that was their job.
