That was 95% of the reason we left. In terms of shopping and things to do, there were plenty. In fact I felt like there was much more to do with close proximity to Annapolis,Baltimore and DC than we now have in Montgomery county. I was very happy with my shopping options as well - wegmans, Macy's, MOMs organics.

...with close proximity...

Proximity means close. So close closeness?

Outside of the beltway, you've got nothing but (predominantly black) families living the American Dream and low crime. Inside the beltway is where you may find some shady areas and crime, but that's because it's close to DC. DC is the problem, not PG county.

Wealthiest doesn’t equal wealthy. Wealthiest Black county also is misleading as there isn’t much competition for number 2. Being solidly middle class really just speaks more to the income disparity. I don’t think anybody called it poor but depressed compared to the rest of the DC metro area. As to inequality there isn’t a single black neighborhood in the 1000 richest in the entire country. Also in those areas there area only about 1% black residents with many closer to 0.
