It doesn't make me feel like a bad mom but I don't read them either-- there's no point. I sometimes read The Bloggess but that's not a parenting blog, though she is a parent. It's more of a funny look on surviving modern life.

Eh. I read her blog for a long time and stopped a few months ago - she started annoying the hell out of me. SO many sponsored posts, monetizing every aspect of her family's life that she can - it doesn't appeal to me.

10:09 you're right. If you always have your camera in tow and are thinking in your head how this will look on your blog, maybe you're not really "present". And everything is about raking in money though the blog, etc. I wonder how much money a blogger can earn in a year?

Not only are they not living in the moment, the moment itself is a staged, contrived experience created solely for inclusion on the blog/Instagram/etc. These people pimp out their families' private lives for pageviews. It makes me feel icky.
