Bot poster. They always write “to use a sports analogy.” |
They've been test optional longer than anyone, since 1969: https://www.bowdoin.edu/admissions/apply/test-optional-policy/index.html |
Karen, you really need your meds. This delusion is pretty out of control. |
Only 1 of the BCC kids last year was a recruited athlete. |
Not sure why you’re so fixated on Mbury. |
|
I'd say top 5 LACs are pretty clear
1) Haverford 2) Swarthmore/Smith 3) Wellesley/Scripps/Williams/Amherst 4) Claremont McKenna/Middlebury 5) Bowdoin |
I feel secondhand embarrassment for you. |
| What kind of student is Bowdoin looking for? |
| It is a great school. |
| What is this Bowdoin? |
|
Pretty obvious that their kid didn’t get in. The obsession is a bit over the top, |
+1, exactly! |

If I was a billionaire, instead of giving HYP another 100 million, I'd offer 10mm each to 10 of these colleges to help pay for one new 200-bed dorm each. Effectively adding a whole SLAC-size group of kids to the pool.
These schools could all grow 10%. Kids would be happier to have a few more kids. Classes would go from 12 kids per class to 13. who cares. We need to expand opportunities |
Because when you grow, acceptance rate goes up and endowment per student goes down. We can’t have that, can we? |
