Just a reminder to everyone: what she did is illegal and is grounds for termination.

And the bar for termination is LOWER for someone with her level of seniority. If she was a GS-7, she'd probably get a one-week suspension without pay and a note on her SF-50. But a GS-15, Step 10 and lead communications officer for the agency? They are supposed to be better than the average GS gov'y.

If I was doing a Douglas Factors analysis, she'd get dinged on #1, #2, #5, and especially #8.

She's a GS15-step 10? I know MD PhDs who are federal workers who aren't at that level...unbelievable that this money wasting unethical twit is wasting our tax dollars and using her sinecure to grow her influencing business.

All of this. I can't believe we (collectively) just blink at ethics violations now. This (all) is so not ok.

Aside from how obviously unethical this is...can we talk about how weird/awkward her videos are and how bad the outfits are? Like what possessed her to post this.

That gray baggy top is horrible.

Imagine surviving breast cancer for a second. All your hair falls out, you bloat in all the places you don’t want to, your energy levels are beyond low, and you feel like crap all the time. You feel vulnerable and scared. Now you are recovering. No more chemo. Your body starts to feel good again. You start to feel safe. You decide to model some clothes online to feel better about yourself, attractive. Perhaps an unusual thing for a grown adult to do, but it helps you feel better again. Now imagine doing that kind of self-therapy at home (while you’re still vulnerable) upfront of the person you just want to feel sexy for and a small child you have to take care of. Not so therapeutic anymore.

It’s beyond disgusting the left is using this story to oppose the Trump agenda. Either these jobs being cut are government waste that tax-payers are funding or they are a moral dilemma. If the latter, then let those stories speak for themselves. Do not attack breast cancer survivors trying to be okay. That’s absolutely deplorable.

People have no idea that the government employees are held to very exacting standards. And the "influencer" needs to be fired.

I’m convinced she has a personality disorder. She’s not operating with a full bag of chips.

This spin is tldr. Needs to be condensed or she’ll lose her MAGA credentials.

What an idiot defense. She wants to feel sexy so she does posts with affiliate links to earn herself money from her government office because she feels uncomfortable filming sexy posts to earn money in front of her kid.

They usually take months so I doubt it. They usually wouldn’t give a clearance to a 19 year old kid who was fired from his internship for leaking private company data so I’m pretty sure the answer is no.

From Reddit

I just reported McLaurine to the OPM "waste" hotline at (202) 606-1200. Someone actually answered. Call now it will take less that 5 minutes. She just fired a bunch of federal employees before hocking her $475 purple skirt IN HER FEDERAL OFFICE. Violation of section code:

§ 2635.702 Use of public office for private gain.

An employee may not use their public office for their own private gain; for the endorsement of any product, service, or enterprise (except as otherwise permitted by this part or other applicable law or regulation); or for the private gain of friends, relatives, or persons with whom the employee is affiliated in a nongovernmental capacity, including nonprofit organizations of which the employee is an officer or member, and persons with whom the employee has or seeks employment or business relations. The specific prohibitions set forth in paragraphs (a) through (d) of this section apply this general standard, but are not intended to be exclusive or to limit the application of this section.

She would have to take more time away from the office if she had to go offsite to create content. She’s saving our tax dollars posting from her office because she already gives so many hours each week.

It doesn't matter how many hours per week she works for DOGE. This is waste, fraud, and abuse.

She needs to resign ASAP. Anyone defending her is not helping her here. She is in way over her head. If you commit a violation when your job is to defend the mass firing of others for commiting the same kind of violation (let's leave out whether that have or have not), it makes you you look REALLY REALLY bad.

This is very simple. If she, or you, cannot understand what I just wrote, you are not going to be able to see what's coming.

Anyone against or in favor of the current government should and will call this number because McLaurine has just made her office look terrible.

I think we should all call to report her, and I wish this were more prominent in the news, but let's be clear that fact is fiction now, truths are personal/alternative, up is down, bad is good, and the law is whatever they say it is. We are now at that point. Things fall apart...
