Not to be pedantic but something like 45% of all feds don't have college degrees so not sure where the whole "go to college" elitist spiel is coming from. Like congrats you or your parents spent money on your college education so you could choose a career that in your words offered zero raises for years (and didn't even require a college education)...? Can't you, in your own words, just roll back time?? |
And that's the guy that's already been playing around with the Treasury payments system sourcecode. |
Oh I believe they were given (really, handed) security clearances. But they clearly went through no kind of background check. |
I am still reeling from this. Making live code changes on day 1. And now gone, on to the next job. Ho hum. |
Keep throwing in with management and voting like you’re a billionaire and not a wage slave, it’s obviously worked out so well for you. |
Boys-
U up? I was doing some reading before bed and just found that Musk wasn’t so offended by the actual work being done at USAID. He was really just offended that the inspector General had the audacity to investigate Elon for problems with Starlink getting into Russian hands. It looks like you might have found the report in the SCIF and possibly some other tidbits of information for sale. https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/1255765.page Maybe a lawyer or two can weigh in here, but a quick check to Wikipedia says treason and accessory to treason carry the same sentence. You may wish to depart the federal government on terms that provide you with sufficient time and economic security to plan for your future—and have a nice vacation. |
To All
I find it ironic that only now we find that NIH wastes much of the grants on overhead. payments to an elite class. while my children, US citizens, from a family with US citizens for almost 150 years, cannot afford health care. Universities use 60% of research money for overhead. Last year, $9 billion of the $35 billion that the National Institutes of Health (NIH) granted for research was used for administrative overhead, known as “indirect costs.” Today, NIH lowered the maximum indirect cost rate research institutions can charge the government to 15%, above what many major foundations allow and much lower than the 60%+ that some institutions charge the government today. Effective immediately, this change will save more than $4 billion. The argument for overhead, which sometimes reaches 75%, is that you must pay for the university infrastructure for each research project. So, over and over, you pay for the university. Maybe 15% is too big a cut, but given the amount of money some universities keep in a lockbox, maybe not. How do they come up with 50-60-75%? The formula for overhead at Harvard for research projects is the indirect cost rate (IDC) multiplied by the total direct cost (TDC). The TDC is the sum of all expenses for a project, including salaries, equipment, insurance, on and off-campus activities, conferences, publications, renovations, research services, and supplies. |
Woah, Coristine’s mom is a Russian immigrant. He likely speaks fluent Russian. He also had websites in Russia that offered defense against DDoS attacks to Russian businesses.
Come on, this guy is likely a Russian asset! He’s been sucking down pro-Russia propaganda for a long time https://www.ctinsider.com/connecticut/article/elon-musk-doge-ct-edward-coristine-trump-20154340.php |
Gross. How easily so much of this country was manipulated. |
Krebs on Security tracked down that Coristine was part of a hacker gang called The Com: https://krebsonsecurity.com/2025/02/teen-on-musks-doge-team-graduated-from-the-com/ |

I keep thinking that it can’t get worse, and every day proves me wrong. |
