I wouldn’t call this totally disavowing anything. I would call this downplaying an earlier claim once appropriate financial settlement had been reached.

I tend to distrust women who only come forward during an election to claim the opposition has committed a crime. If this is true why didn't they come forward during the 2020 election? The Trump's GOP is not above paying people to lie. More outrageous is that Trump has been convicted of sexual assault and this doesn't bother the MAGA electorate at all and, in fact, they seem to be proud of trump's mistreatment of women.

No woman has come forward claiming she was abused by Emhoff. Three people came forward, claiming their friend was assaulted by Emhoff. They weren’t there when the assault allegedly took place.

Sounds like it has all the hallmarks of a classic Russian disinformation campaign to me.

Doug Emhoff, the husband of Vice President Kamala Harris, has denied a report alleging that he slapped an ex-girlfriend across the face so hard that she spun around.

The Daily Mail reported Wednesday that three friends anonymously said that Emhoff had struck the woman—who was also not identified by name—while the two waited in a valet line at France’s Cannes Film Festival in May 2012.

In a statement to Semafor, a spokesperson for Emhoff denied the allegation, saying, “this report is untrue” and “any suggestion that he would or has ever hit a woman is false.”

Yes, probably more than low-energy Trump, who has been convicted in a court of law of sexual abuse. But the difference is that Trump was actually convicted. There's not even a police inquiry into the events that Emhoff is accused of doing.

Do you understand what kind of lawyer Doug is? “Media lawyer” is code for NDA and coverup ace. His niche is knowing the “bodies are buried” and making messes far bigger than this disappear. Of course the victim hasn’t come forward. She was likely paid off and signed an airtight NDA years ago.
