This, which is why I support Biden's measures to get aid into gaza and his measures to limit, albeit minimally, offensive weapons from the US being used to kill civilians. the GOP would simply encourage Netanyahu to steamroll the Palestinians out of existence and would not be providing aid. |
if it wasn't the US, it would be China or Russia. Would you rather everyone just be against the US, or that the US has friends abroad? If the US doesn't have allies abroad, it also wouldn't have markets to sell US products and that would kill the US economy. I guess isolationism has its consequences. |
NP. You’re full of it! Not wanting to be associated with atrocities is the reasonable, humane response. |
Biden slips up and refers to illegal immigrants as “Hispanic voters”:

OP here - i’m 100% convinced now that he’s throwing the whole thing.

He's signaling in too many directions, both for votes and because he's surrounded by a mess of advisers, some pro-Israel, some pro-Palestinian...So he ends up pleasing no one. That pier was completely unnecessary, huge waste of money. |
Because all his staff cares about are social agendas, not actually RUNNING anything well. |
There was no need for that pier, they should have told Israel that U.S aid will go through unobstructed or they can save their own hides politically, militarily, they would have caved in one minute flat. My biggest beef with Biden is how he made the seat of U.S president look so weak and in servitude to Israelis. I get that they have bought majority of our politicians but at least let us save our face. Israelis have rubbed our face in the dirt over and over and we have said nothing because our politicians are falling over themselves to go to Israel and put on the most ridiculous stunts and statements for their overlords. |
+100 |
There is simply too much money donated to our two major political parties from those that support Israel in the current conflict for any sitting US president not to support Israel in the same manner Biden has. His hand's are tied. It would be the same for Trump if he were in office. It is what it is. |
