I’ll tell you why it will happen. Not too long ago, there was general acceptance that the answer was to regulate gun ownership and that it could keep us safe. No one dared say that it was time to do away with private gun ownership altogether.

Now that sentiment is becoming mainstream. In my mind, the turning point was Sandy Hook. It became clear that there was no effort among gun owners to recognize that we have a problem.

So now compromise is just off the table. We’re going to take all the guns away.

It's not a quick process. Look at how long it took to destroy roe

But the process gets tremendous help fom the GOPs insistence on running losing, anti- women candidates for president. When the time arrives, the Dems will be choosing the next SCOTUS members, not the anti-women right.

Taking guns from the rural white people to solve urban gun violence.

Not a winning strategy.

If by not a winning strategy you mean advocating for positions favored by a significant majority of Americans, than sure.

What are you going to do? Shake your fist and whine on a message board?

Honestly, the only ones shaking fists and whining are the anti-gun nuts here…we’re gonna take away your guns, we’re going after your ammunition, etc. But the only thing you have actually accomplished in recent memory is driving gun sales sky high. You’re strategy needs a serious rethink.

Look at crime in the DMV, multiple perpetrators possibly high on narcotics. AR-15 is a sensible weapon. May take 3-4 shots per perp to take control of the situation. Reloading under stress is a bad idea.
