DUH! They should offer to take in more Asian-American students for full ride. Support them with the opportunities to participate in competitions and tests, see your school do very well in national rankings. |
Aloha? |
Where can I find these stats? Are they available by state ? |
| Based on percentage of students … Thomas Jefferson is number one and Maryland magnet is number two and Saint Anselms is number three. |
Hang ten bro! |

Holton announced their five semi-finalists today. They also have seventeen Commended, two Hispanic Recognition Scholars, and five African American Recognition Scholars.
How big is a class at Holton? 100? That seems like a great outcome. |
https://nces.ed.gov/fastfacts/display.asp?id=171 The 50 was a typo for 950 apparently |
Not clear you understand what LOL means but yes, this is largely a function of population. And it will burst most posters' bubble to know that which HS the kid is in has very, very little to do with these scores (except for schools like TJ that essentially adopt testing as the proxy for entry that overlaps with this testing, or at least it did when entry was still merit based). |
Holton has 5 out of 88. |
Class of 88. |
So 25% of their class got a 208 or higher on their PSAT. I know it is only a test and a snapshot in time, blah blah, but that does seem like a really great percentage of the students. |
