Reading online I am afraid to have here do my IUI but she is the doctor for the day on Friday for IUIs. Should I try to go to another office? Is she incompetent or just rude?
Op here. SOrry I meant "her" not "here".
My primary RE is Osborn but Nair did my IUI earlier this spring. She was fine and it worked. I definitely didn't get a rude vibe from her at all.
She did one of my IUIs, and she was fine. It seems like the procedure is really straightforward.
Procedure could not be more straightforward. Setup is a couple minutes, main event is literally 5 seconds, w/ 10 mins rest time afterwards. The person who does it is really inconsequential. The monitoring is the consequential part.

She's my regular doctor and is not rude at all. It really doesn't matter who does your IUI, it takes two seconds. The lab is much more important and I have faith in Shady Grove's.
I don't know what to think of Dr. Nair overall, though--we have an aggressive protocol for next try, but I can never really talk to her. Don't know if it would be the same with the other docs. I am thinking that if it's going to cost $3000+ for the next try, maybe I should be saving up for IVF. But I have to make an appointment to talk with her, and it's probably something I'll have to pay for. That may be the same with every doctor. |
I have Dr. Nair as my RE and I think she's super nice, intelligent, and warm. I think you should do just fine with her.
I did IVF with Dr. Nair in 2009, and had a good experience with her.
We also did IUI and then later IVF with Dr Nair. We are very happy with her. IUI itself is super easy. 5 minutes.
