Sears outlets for appliances

Anybody go this way for kitchen appliances? We're just looking for pros/cons. Thanks - a big renovation coming up and a bit overwhelmed by the added costs of all the appliances.

Most appliances can be ordered online and delivered to your contractor. Cheaper by 20-30% and no tax. A place like us-appliance.com

if you r looking to have things match, I wouldn't bother. it's very hit or miss.

They have a good selection on dishwashers and refrigerators, limited on stoves, microwaves and most of the washers and dryers are pretty banged up. I think the fridge deals were the best. Most people have one side that will not be seen, so you might be able to find one with a dent on the hidden side. My mom bought a dishwasher there that was brand new and it was great. She got a good deal too.

The deals in general should still be checked against sale prices at major outlets, which can sometimes be on par. It's worth checking out, but like pp said you do need to be okay with the appliances not all being the same brand or part of the same series in that brand.

We bought our appliances over Labor Day weekend last year and got the best deals then. If you can wait, it might be worth it. Or if you have a Costco membership, they do a once a year? deal where you buy a set of the same brand for a set price and it's a really good deal.
