I think I am going to get it even though my iPhone4 is only 6 months old. Figure I can sell it somewhere. I don't think I'll be crazy enough to be at the Apple Store on 10/14 trying to get one - will probably just order it online.
I like the speech recognition function/"personal assistant" (Siri), better quality camera (since I talk all my kid's pictures on it now) and the iCloud... |

| If you got yours 6 mos ago you may be eligible for an early upgrade (but only towards the new iphone.) Best buy will give you $250 for it, which makes the upgrade for the 16gb $250. |

| I am getting one. I talked to Verizon today about the pre-ordering. I wanted to know why they were unfairly advantaging West Coast people by opening pre ordering at 3am EST. Apparently, Verizon does not anticipate running out, so people who choose to wait until the morning to order will be fine. |

Usually when a new model comes out everyone trades in the old ones and phone companies will be selling refurbished or new older versions. That's what happened when the iPhone 4 came out, anyway. |
