I stumbled across this post in the archives:
** I have a child in the 3s class at the RCC. I don't have any experience with the Clarendon Child Care Center, but I can say that we love the RCC. My 3 year old has learned so much in this class and has such a great time. They do fun art projects, dance class, they read, they sing, they take walks around the area, they have a lot of outdoor time when the weather is nice and my favorite part is about to start with Water Play. Every Friday during the summer they bring their bathing suits and they do various water play activities outside on the playground. I can't imagine being in a better environment so if Clarendon Child Care is similar then either way you're in a good situation. ** I'm intrigued by themention of "a lot of outdoor time". I never even considered this daycare before because it's in an office building with no playground that I can see. How is this outdoor time accomplished? Are they worth a second look? Free play to run around is important to me. Thanks! |
| It's awesome. LOVE this place. They have large outdoor terrace/playground where the kids go outside every day barring extreme weather. Choosing this daycare was one of the best parenting decisions I've ever made. |
| The playground isn't visible from the street but it's a great outdoor play area. They also have a sort of indoor activity room for when they can't go outside. This place was our 1st choice but the infant wait list is about 1 1/2 years and whenever we've tried to get a status update, the director just reiterates that same timeline. |
I had this same experience -- the director would either say its 1-2 years (even though my then 1.5 year old had been on the list since I was 2 months pregnant, so it had been over 2 years). I got a call 3 years after I got on the waiting list saying that we had been offered a spot, craziness. |
