Cardiologist for heart valve replacement

| I'm looking for a recommendation for a good cardiologist that performs heart valve replacement. My mother recently moved to the area and it looks like she needs surgery. Any recommendations? |

| Call Hopkins. Seriously. Tell them what you need, and they will get you an appointment with the right doc. |

A third vote for CVTSA - Drs. Spier or Massimiano. They are at Inova Heart & Vascular Hospital, no need to go to Hopkins for that.

| Definitely Dr. Alan Spier at CVTSA. My mom had Aortic valve replacement about 5 months ago and was able to have the minimal incision, so her recovery was much easier. He is such a nice person, too. |
