Need Steam Cleaner Recommendation (NoVA)

Anonymous
Hello,

We're in search of a recommendation for a professional steam cleaner for the carpets, tile, and grout in the home we're about to move into in NoVA. Stanley Steemer seems pretty outrageous.

Alternatively, I'd be willing to do it myself with the right tools. Are there any you can rent besides those big orange ones from Home Depot/Safeway that don't go all the way to the walls ?

Any advice appreciated!

I think Stanley steamer or Sears is probably going to be one of your cheaper options. I've used smaller companies that have done better jobs but cost more.

You can prob get a special or coupon with Stanlet Steamer. Call and get an estimate where they measure, then you can use it to shop around. Once you get a few quotes, you'll have a better idea of what is reasonable.

Doing it yourself can be more trouble than it's worth, carpet may take longer to dry, not as effective and I've even stained my carpet with leaky cleaner once. Plus, though machines are heavy to push.

We have a couple of rental units with carpet and use carpet cleaning services regularly. We've learned through experience that Hadeed is the best by a long shot. May cost a couple bucks more, but they guarantee their work, and their equipment is superior to Stanley Steemer etc.
