| So, I am four months post partum and still have a pouch. I am running and eating and nursing. The pouch does not seem to be getting any smaller. This is my second child. Is it here to stay? |
|
Five months post partum with #2, and wondering the same thing.
But, I am holding on to the fact that I still have at least 10 lbs to go to loose (I guess that's the upside of retaining the weight: hope that the shape will return, at some point)... |
| I also have 10 lbs to lose |
| It took me multiple years to decide to take action to lose the last of the weight from 2 pregnancies, I lost over 20 pounds and the worst thing was that when I lost the first 10 pounds 2 different people on different days asked me if I was expecting. My body definitely changed and where I had always had a waist I definitely now had a pouch. So the change in my body was that I have to weigh less to have the same waist size, my body has just changed in that way but I am finally seeing the pouch disappear. |
| It helps if you don't carry your joey around in your pouch. I would think at four months he would be kind of big. So, if you want your pouch to shrink, kick him out. |
|
I carry weight in my stomach and it is the last to go. I have to get pretty rail thin, to lose my pouch, it is my last hold out. It has always been that way for me, but more pronounced after babies.
I'm a 5'9" and a size 4 and have to get into a 2 if I want to fully lose it. However this is difficult for me to maintain, so I will flip back and forth. |

OMG PEOPLE, IT'S POOCH, NOT POUCH!!!!
AND LOSE, NOT LOOSE! |
|
13 months post partum with DC2 and I still have a pooch. Like the pp, my stomach is the last place I lose weight, and so even though I'm actually below my pregnancy weight (5'2, size 4) it's still there. Not huge, but definately there.
I've decided it is just the cost of having children - like the stretch marks on my flat, saggy post-breastfeeding boobs! |
| pilates mat work. you need to reconnect the ab muscles inside to get rid of the pooch. |
MANY women suffer from Diastasis Recti and do not realize it. All the Pilates in the world isn't going to fix that. |
|
11:11, what will? I have diastasis recti (told both my GP and OB) and my GP didnt even physically check to make sure it was "okay" telling me it wouldnt harm me and smiling when I told him i was afraid exercis would make itworse.
ideas on how to fix? |
| Surgery |
thank you!! so annoying!! |
| It's also definitely, not definately. |
| Try the Tupler Technique for DR (Google it). I'm 4 month PP with twins and doing the workout now. I stared to see results within a couple of weeks. |
