What cool tech things can I do with my TV?

Sometime this past weekend, I was hooking up a DVD player to the TV, and I was looking at all the odd shaped plugs on the back. I recognized USB and HDMI ports, and there were several others I'm not familiar with. I suspect there are tons of cool things my TV can do, but I'm just not aware of the new tech options to know about it. I've got a DVD and DVR/FIOS setup. What else can I do? I'm sure some of those ports are for a Wii or other video games. I guess there's some way to hook up my camera and look at pics. I've heard that some people will stream videos via a wireless modem and an account from Netflix or Amazon Prime, but I have no idea how to do that.

| Hook it up to a computer. Put a videocam on top and let your kids have a video skype playdate with grandma and grandpa (if they can video skype.) |
