Brabo, Majestic, or Vermillion?

We're trying to decide where to go for our anniversary and we've never been to any of these places. All of them have great reviews and look really good. Any advice?

We liked the food at Brabo - the restaurant not tasting room - for our anniversay but found the atmosphere rather obnoxious. They kept pushing us to buy wine and we just arent wine people, nor do we care about it. It was also rather dark and stuffy, not my style.

Majestic is good - only been there for Sunday dinner - but not very romantic.

Vermillion didnt wow us, food-wise.

We've been to Brabo and Vermillion for anniversaries.

Brabo: fancier, bigger tables, part of a hotel (in case you want to get away for the night as well). Many people getting up to say hi to other guests, but obviously for business purposes. Maybe it's more of a take-your-clients out type of place?

Vermillion: cozier, more romantic (or less business-y); but, i was also disappointed with the food.

Majestic: good home-cooked style food, but has an upscale diner kind of feel to it. not romantic at all.

We've also been to Restaurant Eve. That is my recommendation.

I love the Brabo tasting room, and the bar at Brabo, but agree that dinner there is a little stuffy--but perfect if you want to get dressed up and feel proper. I think the Majestic is great, not romantic, but fun. Vermilion was our neighborhood bar for a while and the food is sometimes fantastic, sometimes fine--but I hate the decor; it looks like a brothel. I'd do a drink at Brabo, then dinner at the Majestic. Or dinner Magestic and drink and dessert at Brabo bar. Or Restaurant Eve!

Thanks for the suggestions. We are trying to get into Restaurant Eve next weekend but if we can't, I think we'll go for Brabo (we do love our wine).

We're going to save the Majestic for a family night with our toddler (it seems family friendly from the menu).

I loved Vermillion but it does seem kind of casual (we were seated downstairs). Our food was exceptionally good. We had the tasting menu though so maybe that helped. I like Majestic but it is definitely more casual, homey food and atmosphere.

Agree with PP that Eve is probably your best bet. I do love the food at Brabo, though.
