| I have a trip to Brooklyn next week and would love to try a great pizza place or restaurant. Any good recommendations from NY experts? Thanks! |

Henry's End on Henry Street in Brooklyn Heights. Please make a resevation because it is very tiny and get packed. Here are a few others, not sure if all are still open so check opentable.com:
1. Noodle Pudding also on Henry Street 2. Jolies on Atlantic Avenue 3. Acqualis Grill on Fulton Street 4. River Cafe (not sure it is really worth the money, but food is great) For Pizza, Grimaldi's. I personally think it way overrated but line outside the door seems to belie that assumption. You ma also want to take a stroll down Amith Street and see what they have to offer, you may be pleasantly supprised. |
| That would be "Smith Street" |

I would check out Williamsburg for good, innovative food in Brooklyn. We lived in Park Slope for 3 years, and I can't really recommend much in that neighborhood--or at least there was nothing that I would consider worth traveling from Manhattan to Brooklyn to eat. The best is probably Al Di La--really good Italian food (not red sauce Italian), located on 5th Ave and Garfield in Park Slope. Get there early, or you'll have a wait. Alternatively, you can eat in their attached wine bar (or just enjoy a glass or two while you wait for a table).
It all depends where you're staying, as Brooklyn isn't as easy to get around in as Manhattan. 14:41 made some good suggestions if you're in the Brooklyn Heights/DUMBO area. |
| Peter luger's steak house hands down! My favorite meal in the world! |
