Does anyone go to this salon? Who would you recommend for a good cut? Thanks.
I used to go to Jobi (a couple years ago). He was generally good, but really thought I needed a lot of layers and highlights and if you tell someone that you want "a low maintenance style", layers and highlights are not really going to work. I go to Bang now and have been consistently pleased with my hair since.
I really like Frank. Great with highlights/color too.
Jacqui is most often recommended, I think. But she's pretty expensive. I had a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad haircut from Monica a few years back. So, I'd avoid her.
I saw Jacob about 6 weeks ago and really liked my cut.
My friends with thick, hard to manage hair like Pat.
Slightly off point, but my sister is newly a colorist at a quite nice salon in NYC. At the salon she now goes by her middle name as a stylist already had her first name when she started. Reading this thread made me see why no salon should have two stylists with the same first name.
I go to Bobby. He is good with color, not too creative with hair but can generally do what you want if you know exactly what that is. It's nicely ffordable compared to other places.
