DC Daycare Recommendations (infant care)

Looking for any DC daycare recommendations for infant care. Prefer locations downtown or in Dupont/Adams Morgan/U Street/Columbia Heights areas. Upper NW is really not accessible to us. Any recommendations or precautions are welcome.

Stay away from Le Petite in Ne near Children's hospital. They have space in their infant room, but there's your red flag.

Would you please comment about your specific concerns about LaPetite? It is one of the potential places on my list. Also curiour if your concern is just an infant issue, or if it also pertains to care of older kids. Thanks.

I can recommend the Child Development Center at the First Baptist Church at 16th & O. The waiting list is currently anywhere from 12-18 mos. Caregivers have been there a long time (low turnover) and the care is excellent.

I would also like to hear the concern about LaPetite more specifically. Did you have your child in there and then quit? Did you take a tour? Please let us know.

I've been told the waitlist for infants is currently full at La Petite.
