We're moving in to a new house and want to refinish the hardwood floors and replace the carpet. I have no experience with this and am looking for advice.
Curious if anyone has experience with Dominion Floors? Are there other shops we should consider? Thanks |
| M&M floors does nice work - you might want to check them out and Carpet Yard is very reasonable (located in McLean). |
| When our last house was 75% flooded by 2 burst pipes, Allstate referred us to Quality Carpet One in Crofton. They did a fantastic job. I was replacing carpet, but they showed us several samples of hardwood that were only slightly more expensive and I only had to pay the difference per sq ft and they used the carpet allowance from the insurance company. They were very knowledgable, worked with what we wanted, gave us great advice and we got a very fair price for everything. Although they are franchised, there is a branch in McLean and one in Alexandria. |
| We also used Carpet One, off of Rockville Pike, for laminate flooring. We decided that we needed to be flexible about the color and simply look for what was on sale. We got a fantastic deal and they did a very nice and clean job with the demo. 15 year warranty on the flooring. When it got dinged, because it was out fault, they said they would fix it but it was $100 minimum just to come out. We are living with the ding. Would use again. |
