I’ve never paid any attention to the royals and this mess is fascinating! I’m like 50% they are hashing out a divorce settlement, 50% she’s going to turn up after Easter as planned, looking happy, healthy, and beautiful, and never say a word about any of this.

The Queen put out a photo with an ADDED child and there was not this response.

The palace was called on that and immediately satisfied that children not their that day were added in. Knowing full well it would be the last big pic with granny these kids would have. If you don’t see how that is 100% different from this recent unforced error, then there is no point in responding further to you.

Thank you. I know what’s ultimately pushing this thread and I’m personally so f——ng sick of it. I just hope those most responsible for this dynamic get what they deserve.

They didn't mess up that badly. What happened was social media craziness. The media drove Diana and Fergie crazy. Social media drove Harry and Meghan to the US. Social media has driven William and Kate to this.

I agree that social media contributed to this. But, I honestly think if people had seen William visiting more than once, saw her parents going to their home or caught a glimpse of her in the car, it would have never gotten to the where is Kate stage.

People didn’t expect to see her regularly because they said she would be recovery from surgery and will resume work after Easter. To not see her at all since December and her family not going to see her just set off alarm bells.

No, it really didn't. Normal people were happy to wait a few months because they don't spend so much time thinking about her. You were told how long it would be and decided to freak out.

- Use the November pic, photoshop everybody's clothes to pretend it's recent, but NOT change her hand which seems completely unnecessary if the pic is a few months old?
- Use the November pic but NOT claim it was from last week?

- Fluid retention can affect the hands as well as the face, legs and abdomen.
- If hands ar used for IV access (not uncommon in a long hospitalization) you can have nasty bruises.

If you’re on the cover of fcking Vogue, you use the Vogue pic.

I just don't get it. It's such an own goal. They lied, got caught in the lie, and still aren't even admitting it, instead posting a vague admission from Catherine that she sometimes toys with photoshop. It is very strange behavior from a press shop that is usually pretty good.

Didn't she have a recent new hire? Maybe down to inexperience? Could also track with the last minute photoshop?

Yes, I saw something about how she hired a new equerry. I don't really know what an equerry does these days, but it used to be the person who took care of the horses, and I don't believe Kate rides.

He was Queen Elizabeth's equerry. He's now Kate's private secretary. He's also a Royal Marine who looks like Roger Federer, and he certainly could kick William's ass. Just in case that's important.
