I'm sooo tired of hearing this as a threat
seems like a ploy to get media attention for politicians
But I am really tuning it out now...

As a federal employee, I could care less if there is a shutdown if it means that the Dems stick to their guns this time around. I am so sick of seeing Reps think they can hold Congress and this country hostage.

As one half of a two-Fed family, I have to say I'm sick to death of feeling like a political pawn in Congressional budget battles. Three shutdown threats in the span of less than one year is ridiculous. And how many more are on the horizon?

We're fortunate to have savings but I know many of our lesser-paid staff live paycheck to paycheck and it's been an incredibly stressful year for them. Not to mention all the time and money that's been wasted at the office on shutdown contingency planning, etc., etc. Enough is enough.
