| I already checked out Costco but it seems a little pricey given that we just want to hang up a couple of cute photos of our kid for her first b-day party. Does Kinkos do this? |
|
Yes, you just need to have a 300dpi image to start with (high resolution) and they can blow it up. The easiest thing is to have them do it proportionally, so if you want a 15" x 20" poster, you should crop your image to 7.5" x 10", etc. Or you can just bring in what you have and ask them to blow it up 150%, etc.
They can also mount it to gatorboard or foamcore if you need it to be more sturdy. Doubt if it's cheaper than Costco, though -- check it out. Any local copy shop will do this (Sir Speedy, Kinko's, etc.). |
| Why couldn't Kinko's do it? |
Call me crazy, but I would go to www.kinkos.com and LOOK. Why are you posting here & asking when you can just GO LOOK or CALL THEM. |
| How big do you want them? Is your ink jet printer not big enough? |
| Walmart does this - you send in the file online, then pick it up. A 16x20 is about $12. |
| I was going to say Costco. I think the price is very good, surprised you think it's high. |
