looking for ob recommendation after miscarriage

Anonymous
My current obgyn office handled my recent miscarriage very poorly. As a result I am now searching for a new doctor/practice. I am looking for a practice with caring, compassionate, concerned staff that can provide individualized attention, and has a nurse/doctor line that I can call with any questions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I would prefer a doctor close to Old Town but I'm willing to travel for the right doctor.
Thanks.

I am sorry for your loss. I like Wendi Monthy, MD at GW's MFA practice. It's right next to GW hospital, so it's not too far from Old Town.

So sorry about the miscarriage and the mistreatment by your dr's office.

Robert Footer near AU meets your description (except for the Old Town part).

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I too had a miscarriage last year and was with one of the largest practices in DC and was treated poorly as well - the sonogram story alone leaves people standing with their mouths open about how people treated us in this delicate time.

Whitney Pinger, a CNM was referred to me and I couldn't be happier with her. She's the head of the faculty at WHC and only can deliver in the hospital and is backed up by OB's which makes us feel really good. Her style is so nurturing and she has been so much more than a provider - a real source of strength as we embarked on the pregnancy journey again. She's in DC and sees patients at the hospital or in Spring Valley (AU) one day a week I think. She's accessbile via email and I really can't say enough great things about her.

It's not in your area but depending on where you work, may be workable?
Again, best of luck to you on your journey - we are now 21 weeks along and expecting a baby boy in November!
Take care!!

I had a miscarriage a few months ago as well, but was fortunate enough that it was handled really well. I go to Jennifer Keller who is also at the GW Medical Faculty Associates who was wonderful during the whole process and continues to be as I make a second attempt. I had to have a D&C due to possible complications, which went really smoothly all things considered. I highly recommend GW Hospital which was fantastic, clean, and efficient.
