I was wondering if anyone has any data on odds of being selected in the lottery for either the Montessori program or French Immersion programs at Goddard. I would have thought PGCPS would post that, but if it is on their website somewhere I can't seem to find it. |
I can tell you as an applicant for each of those lotteries that the waiting lists tend to average +1000 for the Montessori and about +800 for the French Immersion. Also adding to the odds are the students who automatically get in due to sibling preference and the students who live within the school boundary. |
The odds are slim to none, given that siblings typically fill about one-third of the available slots. I'm not trying to be discouraging, but it is truly a lottery, in that there are few "winners." |
