hi,
I have green and white polka dots beding in my baby's room. The furniture is in chery. how can I add some color? Any ideas? What else can I do wwith the room? Thank you |
What color are your walls? Of course, that's the quickest way to add some color. Depending on what color green it is and if your baby is a boy or a girl, there are lots of other colors you could bring in....pink, lue, yellow could all look nice. |
op here...it is a quite bright green...about the walls...we live in a apartment and cannot pait it... |
What about either buying or having some curtains made with yellow, pink, purple or blue? All those colors would go with green. Pottery Barn Kids has some great curtains. You can also have some valences made for around $100 through a store like Daisy Baby in Bethesda. You could also get a throw rug in colors that coordinate with the curtains. |
Check out the Apartment Therapy blog on nursery decor/kid's modern furnishings. Lots of fun ideas. |
How about some artwork? We were in the same boat (apartment) when DS was born. I purchased some great artwork and even pre-ordered large frames for photographs to fill up the blank wall space. It's not perfect now, but it works. And when we move into our house in September it will be with just the right color of paint to make it all stand out! Good luck.

you could also look at removable wall decals at places like:
