Which car seat in your Matrix?

Just wondering which rear-facing convertible car seat you have in your Toyota Matrix. Is it in the center or behind one of the front seats? If behind one of the seats, does the person in the front have leg room, or are they squished up against the dash. This is for just one kid, so I'm not worried about the width of the seat. Thank you!

We have a Britax Boulevard on the side behind the passenger seat and it is fine - enough legroom up front, space to seat two adults in the back. I have a friend with a Matrix and he had an Advocate in the middle - not sure how comfy it was to sit next to it in the back but again, legroom up front wasn't an issue. HTH!

We have a Britax Marathon behind the passenger seat. Legroom for the passenger is fine (better than when we had the infant seat in by several inches), and we can fit two adults in the back if we need to (but one comfortably).

No way could we put it behind the driver's side (or in the middle) though, as husband is 6'4" and needs more room when driving (but he's fine in passenger seat when riding).

We have a Hyundai Accent, which is a similar size, and we have a Britax Boulevard as well. We put it in the center.

we have a graco snugride 35 in the middle. if it was on a side, we wouldn't be able to sit comfortably in the front. but it is a pain to get the seat in place after you take it out of the car and need to put it back in because you have to reach for the center.

We have the Britax Diplomat in the center backseat of our Matrix, and it works great. Front seat folks have plenty of room and you can fit an adult passenger on either side of the carseat.

We have an older model Matrix ('07) and our rear-facing Britax Boulevard fits just fine behind the passenger seat. If your Matrix is an '09 or newer, it's actually a bigger car than ours, so you'd have even more room. Also, I think the Boulevard is the biggest Britax convertible seat (I'm not 100% though), so you can probably pick any Britax you want and be just fine.

Hi, could anyone please confirm that the Britax Advocate would indeed fit rear-facing in a Matrix? I've heard that the Advocate is huge. I want to get the Advocate as it is the safest of the Britax seats but if it doesn't fit, then would the Boulevard be a better option? Thanks.
