I am seriosly thinking of pulling our twins from what turns to be a really bad school. I will be moving them to private.
They were bulled with no end ![]() loosing their confidence to make any friends aside of own their bond, as a result they became more clingy to eachother. Set back. I wonder if any of you have pulled your little one for some/any reason already, or is thinking about it very seriously seriously or is actually doing it as we speak. What is/was your reasoon? |
We've only had 2-3 weeks of school. Is this for real? |
seriously, maybe they are just too attached to each other as twins sometimes are. give them more time and, of course, force the school to address any bullying. |
I would try to work out with the current school first. I also would keep an open mind about the situation. It is entirely possible that your lovely children at home are not playing fair at school. There is two sides to every story. It strikes me as a little odd that twins would be picked on given that they have a natural sibling ally to stick up for them, but you may be right. If they are doing something to bring on this attention, however, then a change in schools may not help.
Also, depending on the age of your kids, at some point they are going to have to learn how to deal with the negative behavior of other kids anyway. Teaching them to run away to a new school when they face adversity won't help them learn to deal with these kinds of issues or inspire much confidence. Finally, what makes you think the private school won't have bullying. I don't know all the details, so my thoughts may not apply to your situation. I just want to give you something to consider. I understand your fears. |
I agree with 12:28 who asks, what makes you think the private school won't have bullying. We saw bullying at our private school, and even though our kid wasn't bullied, we thought the school wasn't trying to deal with it. Why don't you talk to your current school, and base your decision on whether or not they are willing to deal with it. |
What grade and gender are the twins? |
