| I have a friend in town and would like to take her to lunch in Bethesda. Any ideas? TIA. |
|
Raku
Tabdoori Nights (recently opened, Indian, they have other locations. It is where the other indian restaurant was, beside The clothes store, Luna.) Au Pain Quotidien |
| Addies on Rockville Pike across from White Flint. "North Bethesda" but I had lunch there recently and it was quite good. |
|
I really like Raku for lunch. Is Pain Quotidien a common table?
If you want Indian there are other options, like Shangri La ot Haandi. Cafe Deluxe and Mon Ami Gabi might be ok too. |
|
There are also private tables at Au Pain Quotidien.
Personally, I would stick to downtown Bethesda around Barnes and Noble because you can walk around before/after, get ice cream or yogurt, etc. |
| Hanndi is terrible. Best Indian in Bethesda is Passage to India on Cordell. |
| Nest, Redwood, Passage to India |
| We enjoy Lebanese Taverna. It's a nice space. |
| Lebanese taverna has not been there for months. The mussel bar is. |
| We were at the Lebanese Taverna in Bethesda about a month ago. Did they move or something? |
I think this poster means Levante's. |
Yup, Mussel Bar on Woodmont & Elm replaced Levante's. Lebanese Taverna is on Arlington & Elm. OP, I hope you didn't go to Quotidien. So-so food at inflated prices, IMO. I would do Black's or even Persimmon for a special lunch. Yum. |
| Persimmon. Best food by far. |
| For Lebanese, I like Bacchus best. |
| Baja Fresh. |
