| I have been feeding my child breast milk by pumping (not nursing). We are approaching the 6 mo. mark and I'm ready to transition him to formula and stop pumping. How long should I expect it to take for my milk to dry up? I will gradually reducing the pumping to prevent any discomfort, leaking etc. but I'd like to be somewhat aggressive to get to the end reasonably quickly. Thanks. |

There have been many posts on weaning, drying up, stop pumping, etc. you may want to do a search.
The quickest way for me (exclusively pumped like you OP) was to do the cabbage leaves + reduced suction on pump + reduced pumping sessions + 20 min down to 15 min.). With each reduction I waited for 2 days before I eliminated another pumping. |
