And the list goes on..."

I went in a tour, etc... and since I qualify for hte "young professional" rates ($64.00/month) I decided to register... filled out the application and then the woman told me that because I need to use childcare while I am exercising, I can only register in the "Family I" plan, which costs $94.00.

To me, that makes the "free baby-sitting" claim a lie! Or am I wrong?

Young professional is for you only....no family benefits such as babysitting or swim lessons

I registered One Parent/One dependent (husband does not use the Y) and with that deal, i get "free" babysitting. Still the best deal around.

Misleading. The young professional membership falls under the full privilege and therefore should qualify for free babysitting.

It means that if your child is also a member, then you don't have to pay for an additional program for him/her to be babysat while you work out.

I would have thought it meant the babysitting was free with any of the "full membership" categories. Having said that my friend belongs to the Y in another state and just has an individual membership because her military husband works out on base and she doesn't want to pay $16 every time her kids (who are 8, 12 and 13) go with her to do a program or activity. She indicated it's pretty expensive for them to go.
