Find a private option. Schools often have a list of several (but not all) private options in the office as they have lists for Kiss 'n Ride drop-off and pick-up.

Daycare centers nearby typically have before and afterschool options.

I only need 2 days a week of aftercare, and found a woman who runs an in-home daycare in the neighborhood and picks my daughter up at the same time she picks hers up. It works out nicely, and is about half the cost of a center.
