If you are having bus/busdriver issues who do you contact

Anonymous
Our bus driver is hellbent on setting her own schedule regardless of what the school has stated as the bus pickup time. Who should we contact to straighten out this mess?

The schedule tightens up a bit as kids and parents get into a groove. So I think it's perfectly normal for the expected pickup/dropoff times to slide around from the guesstimates the school initially provided.

Perhaps the first step would be to take a deep breath and ask the bus driver if s/he is seeing things go faster than expected, and what time is now best for anticipating the arrival of the bus?

Thanks. I understand what you are saying and we aren't new to the bus. We (the parents) have tried talking with the bus driver. All that resulted in was her coming down on the students (they are elementary) and making them stress and worry. I don't think this was appropriate either. At this point, I don't feel that talking with her has worked and we essentially need help from a higher source.

But, back to the original question. Who do we contact? Is it the school?

In FCPS you contact Transportation. Not sure about the other school districts.

What's going on? Is she picking up too early or going a different route?
