Seriously, why are we sending shit up into space that is going to rain down on us at some point, with certainty? I'm like, whew, looks like UARS won't hit the US. and there's "only" a one in 3200 chance it will hit a person, but then BBC news was all "next up Rosat, much larger, etc etc." OH GREAT!
