Does anyone have any recent experience with Strawberry Knoll ES? |
Interested in hearing about experiences with this school as well. I have a child who will be starting K there in a couple of years. |
We've only been there for 4 weeks but so far so good! The school staff seems to run a pretty tight ship. Our K teacher is pretty fabulous. And you can't beat the class size--only 16 students! Most of our friends around the county have between 22 to 26 kids per class with no assistant. My DC started the year knowing how to sound out words and now after four weeks is already writing simple sentences. I am pretty impressed by this. Most of the school population seems to live near the school and walk. There are only 2 regular school buses. I asked a few people about the school before we started and everyone had good things to say. If you go on the website now there is still a link to the summer newsletter which will give you some nuts and bolts info about the first days of school. Like I said we are still early on in our relationship with the school though. I am hoping we continue to be happy. |
This is great news! We just bought a house in the neighborhood and our DC will be going to K there next fall. Does anyone know about before and after care? |
Kids Co -- is the before and after care program. Anyone have thoughts? |
My child who will be starting K there in a year but my neighbors who have kids in that school really like it and speak very highly of the principal. I don't know much about KidsCo but would also love to hear feedback from anyone who's had experience. |
We use KidsCo at another school and have been mostly pleased with the program. It really depends on who the Center Director is and who the counselors are. Let me know if you have specific questions. It might also be helpful to create a new thread on KidsCo.
FYI, we also use KidsCo for summer camp and have been happy. (again at another location) |
