Fall fashion recommendations for pears

Anonymous
I need to update my wardrobe for the fall (have seen other posts on this too), but am having trouble finding any of the new fashions that may work well for my pear shape. Or curvy shape. Actually, I think one must have a bigger chest than I have to be considered curvy, so I'll stick with the pear. High waste pants don't work, and I am afraid of skinny pants and leggings/tunics. I also tend to look best in tops that at least show my collar bone. Ruffles tend to make me look ridiculous. Does anyone know of a resource out there with photos of pear shapes wearing new styles? I have needs across the board. I'm a mother of two, I work full time, mostly from home, end up going into the office once a week to meet with coworkers (business casual) or with clients (suiting required). I think my suiting wardrobe is fairly up to date since I tend to buy classic pieces, so it's casual and business casual that probably needs the most work. TIA!

You're in luck because flares are back in, and they tend to work really well with pear shape.

I'm in the same boat as you OP.

One thing I'm in the market for is a well cut tweed jacket. I figure it'll look nice with jeans, work pants, skirts, etc. Too bad the limited edition J Crew one is $395...
